Nicole Miller's 2011 Stretch Jacquard Strapless Gown
A classic yet simple dress that evokes the traditionalism of a lace gown, but conveys the contemporary style of a modern bride.
A strapless neckline with a deep V cut in center. Built-in cups for extra support (I was still able to wear a strapless bra), and ribbing along the side seams, which feels a bit like a corset, but not restricting at all. The ribbing gives the gown just the right amount of structure.
The stretch allows for a comfortable, wear-it all night fit, and the design includes folding along the stomach, lower back, and hips, which both hugs the body but hides any unwanted sightlines.
The Jacquard fabric is beautiful, with a subtle shimmer and lovely texture that catches the light amazingly. In some photos it seems I'm wearing a lace gown, in others a modern sheath.
Lined with an internal ivory slip, with a back center invisible zipper.
